Carpenter's Planes

We have some old carpenter’s planes (currently being referenced) which will be listed soon and will be interest both to collectors and those who want a historical item that is now decorative and was previously functional. Holding or looking at the pieces allows you to wonder at their past and who owned them before and where they were used. Small tactile objects like carpenters planes often have a wonderful patina to the wood, display their ‘battle scarring’ proudly and can sometimes come stamped with the names of their previous owners. They can be real links to the past which if you let them might allow you to daydream a little, no bad thing!
