Published in London by Spink & Son Ltd., July 1932. Booklet. Coral coloured card covers. 22.5cm H x 15cm W (9” x 6”). 43pp. Rough cut page edges. Illustrated with 13 b&w photographic plates, all present, and bibliographical references.
Also (glued inside the cover), a dated letter from the author, on British Museum headed paper to a Mr Ogden mentioning the sale results of an exhibition and describing the catalogue as a standard work of reference.
Condition: Covers rubbed and worn at the extremities; In pen on the front cover – ‘J. R. Ogden, Esq. from the author’; Very clean, with no annotations or tears; No foxing; Pages tight.

Katharine Ada Esdaile (née McDowall, 23 April 1881 – 31 August 1950) was an art historian and author. She married Arundell James Kennedy Esdaile in 1907, a British librarian and secretary to the British Museum. The Katharine Esdaile Papers are held at the Huntington Library, in San Marino, California.
