James South of Harrogate based online book and art retailers Treasure & Relish has been selected to take part in World Book Night.
World Book Night takes place on April 23rd and is a celebration of reading and books which sees tens of thousands of books gifted within communities to spread the joy and love of reading. This year the event is being celebrated in the UK, Ireland, Germany and USA.
James has always considered reading to be of the utmost importance to the individual and society and is delighted to be part of such a worthy cause. The event is aimed at readers who for one reason or another rarely read or buy books, and hopes by gifting a book to effect a positive change on the reader. Treasure & Relish has been chosen to distribute paperback copies of Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
Let The Right One Inis an unusual blend of social novel and vampire horror. Set in the early 1980s in a depressed suburb of Stockholm it makes for bleak, yet compelling reading, covering issues such as school bullying, murder, paedophilia and existential anxiety.
