Note: Despite the date of 1935 at the bottom it is generally accpeted that this print was made circa 2000 by the talented American printmaker, engraver and entrepreneur E. M. Washington, Jr. (1962-) rather than by his great grandfather and namesake. There appears to be a great deal of controversy and speculation surrounding this enigmatic artist about whether the works presented are from the period as stated. However there is not doubt that these exciting prints of African-American art continue to generate interest and give a lot of pleasure.
