Prie Dieu chair. Circa 1880. Rosewood frame with twisted side supports, turned & carved front legs, square section back legs on original brass castors. Maximum dimensions 50cm W x 95cm H x 46cm D. Traditionally upholstered with horsehair & wadding. Tastefully covered with a luxurious 'tree of life fabric' by Rubelli in rich colours of blue, gold & red which perfectly complements the twisted side supports. A very good quality & elegant chair that will add value to any room setting and give a lot of pleasure. Condition is very good.
