Vol XIII’. 2 Volumes. Hardback. No dust jacket. Approx board size: 20.5cm H x 14cm W (8”H x 5 ¾”W). xii, 454pp(Vol.1) + vii, 459pp (Vol.2). 38 plates, and illustrated half-title. Half bound with brown hide & marbled boards, 5 raised bands with tooled motif. Marbled edges and pastedowns.
Condition: Very Good. Boards and spine rubbed (small chip to front of Vol.2), especially to the corners and edges; Small amount of loss at the top of each spine. Inside: Generally clean though with some discolouration and marks to some pages, especially to the margins of the illustrations; All pages appear present; No inscriptions; Inside hinges cracked but firm. Issue points include: Half-title vignette has Cuttle’s hook is shown on his left arm.
