Outers are very worn and rubbed; Backstrip absent; Damaged boards with weakened horizontal line; Section of printed paper missing on the back; Previously owned by Philip Granville 1911-2003 -London art dealer and curator, his pasted address is on the front of the book.
Because of the condition, this book is available for a modest and reasonable price. An interesting book for fans of Kandinsky, especially if they can read German....Essentially this is an early monograph and short bio of the artist. Also interesting because of the provenance and Philip Granville’s enthusiastic promotion of Kurt Schwitter’s work in Britain after the war.
